NCCCO Certification

SIGNALPERSON – Description

A qualified signalperson is required by OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926.1400 when the load is moving and the view in the direction of travel is obstructed or the point of operation (the load travel or area near or at the load placement) is not in full view of the operator. If the crane operator or person handling the load expresses safety concerns and deems it necessary to use a signalperson, a signalperson should be used.

RIGGER LEVEL I – Description

A rigger is a person who moves a load by various methods including attaching the load to the crane using lifting slings, rigging hardware and below the hook lifting devices as described in B30 standards. A CCO Certified Rigger has received certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators based on successful completion of written and practical exams.
